SA job crisis to take centre stage at FAWU Special Extended NEC Meeting
24 February 2017
Thousands of South Africans are facing an uncertain future because of some of the government policies and decisions that are forcing companies to downscale operations, leading to massive job losses in an already strained economic environment and high unemployment rate.
The Food and Allied Workers Union (FAWU), at its Special Extended National Executive (NEC) Meeting, will shine a spotlight on the issue of job losses in South Africa and ignite robust debates around all factors, including government policy, that are catalysts to this worrying trend.
As a prelude to this important NEC Meeting, one day/27th February 2017 dedicated to a conference on the pending Tobacco Legislation and Regulations, FAWU will host a media briefing to share with members of the media detailed plans about the conference, including topics that will be discussed and the list of speakers who will be in attendance.
Venue: 5th Floor, Neil Aggett House, 90 President Street, Johannesburg
Date: Thursday, 23 February 2017
Time: 12h00 for 12h30
